• 27th Annual Awards Luncheon

On February 21, members of the Oregon legal community will gather to celebrate our shared support for legal aid throughout the state. Join us as we celebrate the efforts of our volunteers and our many achievements of the 2017-18 annual fund drive.

  • Justice and Equity Cup Update

Seven years ago, the Oregon State Bar and the Campaign for Equal Justice joined together to recognize the regions around the state with exemplary support for the Campaign. The prize: two traveling trophies, the Equity Cup and the Justice Cup. The Justice Cup is awarded to the region with the highest percent of lawyers giving to the Campaign. The Equity Cup is awarded to the region with the best improvement in participation, once they hit at least a 10% threshold.

Jackson County is currently in first place in the Justice Cup standings, with Lane County in second. Lane County is showing promise for taking home the Equity Cup. Read more here. The deadline to contribute for your region is February 5. Good luck to all the regions!

  • Southern Oregon Luncheon

About 100 members of the Southern Oregon legal community gathered on Friday, December 1, 2017, for the 9th annual Southern Oregon Luncheon at the Carnegie Library in Medford. Hon Erika Hadlock from the Oregon Court of Appeals spoke of the importance of access to justice throughout Oregon, and told the touching story of her elderly neighbor who keeps a copy of legal aid's telephone number with him at all times as a sort of "lifeline" in case of emergency.
