INGREDIENT LIST FOR THE EVENING
For The Legal-Ade 30 Syrup Tutorial
- a medium saucepan and mixing spoon
- a sieve or kitchen strainer
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup POM pomegranate juice
- 1/2 cup frozen or fresh cranberries (or unsweetened cranberry juice)
- a lemon, zested
- 1 orange, zested
- 2-3 sprigs rosemary
If you'd like to make the syrup in advance:
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and pomegranate juice over medium heat and stir until dissolved. Add cranberries, lemon and orange zest, and rosemary. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Once simmering, remove from heat and cover. Allow to cool and strain through a sieve or kitchen strainer.
For The Cocktail-Building Portion
- a bottle of your favorite vodka or gin (1.5 ounces per cocktail)
- champagne, sparkling wine, soda water, or ginger beer (2 ounces per cocktail)
- a lemon (.75 ounces juice per cocktail)
- a rosemary sprig for garnish
- ice
- bitters (optional)
Helpful to Have on Hand (but not critical)
- knife and cutting board
- a jigger of some sort
- cocktail shaker
- cocktail strainer
- lemon squeezer
- bar spoon
- peeler or zester
