We’d like to thank everyone who joined us at Party on the Screens on November 13. We enjoyed seeing so many current CEJ supporters and new faces, and we hope that you were able to learn more about legal aid, make some new connections, visit with old friends, enjoy a little music, and have some fun watching the raffle prizes being drawn, despite the glitches along the way. Special thanks go to legal aid lawyer Julie Sugano O’Reilly for telling such a compelling story about helping her client with some difficult restraining order and custody issues. We are lucky to have such dedicated legal aid lawyers helping in our communities. We would also like to thank the incredible members of the CEJ Associates Committee for helping organize the event. Together we raised over $6,000!
As champions for the rule of law and equal justice for all, the CEJ community is critical to meeting the civil legal needs of low-income Oregonians. Young lawyers and law students will play a vital role as the new generation who will pick up the torch and continue to ensure that legal aid will help provide access to justice for everyone in Oregon. When Oregon’s lawyers work together, we can’t be stopped!
